Louis Otieno pleads for financial assistance

Louis Otieno a former news anchor in KTN has called for financial help from Kenyans after he turned deaf. The former news anchor has been unwell and in and out of hospital being treated for acute pancreatitis.

According to his Medical Fund Committee, Louis lost his hearing during one of his admissions making him incapacitated. The committee also stated after consultations with Louis’s doctors, the only solution that will help him fix his hearing is by having a procedure in India known as a Cochlear implant.

To help out, Kenyans can send money to the pay bill number 333957. The committee is also planning a harambee to support Louis.

This happens just a few days after Swaleh Mdoe a Citizen TV journalist went to social media to sell his kidney. Citing financial difficulties , the media personality said that he will be selling his kidney for Sh 2.5 million. From the recent media shut down to financially unstable journalists, Kenya’s media is surely facing dark days.
